Maybe it’s my birth sign,
maybe it’s just my nature…
but caring too much and getting emotionally attached to people or things close to my soul has always been a part of me.
But in today’s ultra-practical world, emotions feel like the worst investment ever.
People don’t ask how deeply you care anymore —
they ask whether it’s “worth it.”
Feelings are treated like pouring water into sand,
while practicality is considered the smarter way to survive.
And lately, I’ve been thinking about introverts too…
The ones we patiently waited for to open up.
The ones whose silence we sat beside for years, hoping one day they would let us in completely.
We stayed, understood their moods, respected their space, and silently became part of their world.
But maybe times have changed.
Maybe people no longer value those who quietly stayed with them through all those silent years.
No excitement. No effort. No curiosity to hold onto the people who once waited endlessly for them to speak.
Because sometimes, introverts don’t lose people because they are silent —
they lose them because they think silence alone is enough to keep someone forever.
